For clients who purchased the basic package, setting up Stripe Business Account is £12 + VAT upon their request while it is free for clients who purchased the pro package. Running Stripe Business Account is completely free. However, Stripe charges a commission per transaction for the payments you receive. This commission rate is 2.9% + 30p per transaction.

Each and every payment in your Stripe account is blocked for 7 days. At the end of the 7th day, your balance is deposited into your bank account that you linked to your Stripe account. This process takes place automatically.

Although Stripe automatically retrieves your company information from the database of Companies House and sets up the account in minutes, Stripe may request an address document along with your director's passport / ID card photo. Once you have uploaded these documents on your Stripe account, your account will be approved.
